Heavy Fighting Continues in Muhamalai
The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) fiercely fighting Sri Lankan security forces (SF) as they trying to advance into the Forward Defense Line (FDL) of the LTTE in Muhamalai area according to the reliable military source in Muhamalai. The main Jaffna – Kandy Road was blocked by the SF for more than three and a half hours to enable the SF troopers to remove their wounded from the battlefield area and sources further claimed that, helicopters also used to transport the wounded SF troopers.
Sri Lankan SF Demolishes LTTE War Heroes Cemetery in Killinochchi
Another developments, War Heroes Cemetery (Maaveerar Illam) in Killinochchi where the LTTE troopers who lost their lives in the fighting between SF troopers and LTTE rests has been demolished by the Sri Lankan Security forces.
Meanwhile, the sources in Colombo claimed that, SF troopers advanced to the 2nd FDL of the LTTE in Muhamalai area, about 500 m away from the SF troopers FDL and captured the entire FDL of the LTTE.
Sri Lanka continues with its military options amid the warning from the International community and many rights groups. The International Community repeatedly urging both parties to find a negotiated settlement to the genuine grievances of the minority.
