Prabakaran’s Death – A Myth
Sri Lankan Television and other media are telecasting the video that Prabakaran was killed and they are showing a body which had claimed as Prabakaran’s. The Myths behind these well directed story as follows.
The second picture shown by Lankan media is more younger than the first picture which was taken on 26th November 2004. How is it possible to be become younger after 5 years. In 2004 Maaveerar Day picture, Prabakaran had some wrinkled skin. But in the video the face is too young and without wrinkles.
The Sri Lankan Media first announced that the militrary had killed Prabakaran while he escaped through ambulance. But later in afternoon they claimed that they found the body of Prabakaran from Nandikadal lagoon.
Above all, Rajapaksa in his speech yesterday in the Parliament didn’t even mention a single word about Prabakaran, which makes clear that the Sri Lankan militrary had build a story that they killed Prabakaran.
Repeating a lie in various form will not become true.

The loosely linked story…..which keeps switching from a mass suicide, to a charred remains from bombing, to being shot when escaping in a van, to being found in Nandikadal lagoon may have all the chauvinistic sinhalas celebrating. But fools none.
I understand that when a nation is held captive to a civil war for so long, that even with a military victory does not satisfy the senses. They had to invent Prabhakaran’s death. The celebration would never have been complete otherwise.
It is important that the same Prabhakaran has died 4 times before this. There was a time when LTTE was finished when 6-8 leaders alone escaped among which one was Prabhakaran. This was in 1980s. Havent they managed to rule the 1/3rd of the country after that.
Even in case Prabhakaran is dead. With 25000 civilian lives lost in the last 2 months of war, with the sub-human conditions metted out to 3 lac displaced tamilians, non-access to world press, slow sinhalese settlements in North and East, I am not inclined to believe the Government is working for an amicable political settlement. Every child which lost its mother/father, who survives this inhuman settlement camp will become a Prabhakaran and lead Srilankan Tamils to a Two state solution
Rajabakse thinks all peoples are fool,, he is only intelligent in the world.. U.N,U.S.A, U.K and all countries are watching Rajabakse Drama in very close eyes… he divert U.S strict actions by using this type of chilly things…

Nice comments. If your beloved killer is still alive; why can’t he give an international speech with visuals. Another part of your story of refugees, come and ask them how they been treated by LTTE. We sinhalese didn’t treat tamils in the mid of the country in the way that your beloved killer treated unarmed sinhala civilians in the north. However the war is finished. Well..to people who strive to prove if Prabhakaran dead or alive will not matter anymore. The fact is the mother land of Sri Lanka has been wiped out from the bloody LTTE terrorists, from which she has been suffereing for 33 years. Though Prabhakaran is alive, he is not in Sri Lanka, and his son (Charles Anthony) is surely dead. A dead body will be puffed up with bacteria inside the body and body may become baloon up, and no wrinkles can be seen.

I am a Muslim living in Sri Lanka and as far as I know all the Muslims in Sri Lanka are extremely happy about the death of VP and the demise of LTTE. If we as minorities are being ill treated here in Sri Lanka, we would in turn support the LTTE.

I think people should learn from past mistakes and help build a more tolerant society in Sri Lanka, where all people can live in harmony. We already know the government and the LTTE are corrupt and should not believe a word they say. Take it with a pinch of salt. My main goal is to see that all sri lankans from different racial back grounds should put the past behind them and learn never to trust politicians or terrorist. Sri Lanka would function better if there is people power. This is what you should plug in. Not celebrate with flags and trying to show that one race is superior to the other. We are all brothers and sisters who should learn to live together.

The megalomaniac Tiger leader Velupillai Prabhakaran who put this country in peril for the past three decades, at last had to meet his death in a most shameful manner when he was hiding inside the thickets of a small islet in the Eastern edge of the Nanthikadal lagoon. Ultimately he put the entire Tamil Diaspora, who worshipped this illusive leader as their God father, in shame as he died like a fox hiding inside thickets after tasting the blood of innocent rabbits, indeed inside a bush fearing his death at the hands of the brave soldiers of the Sri Lanka Army. This blood thirsty megalomaniac leader indeed wanted to see the death of the last Tamil living around him before meeting with his cowardly death as he did not have an iota of regard for the lives of the innocent Tamil civilians as he made no attempt to safeguard their lives at least by surrendering to the Government. He wanted the last cadre to die but did not even bite a cyanide capsule as he preached to his followers. There was no sign of a cyanide capsule around his neck at the time he faced this shameful death sacrificing the young blood of the Tamils for his survival. Therefore, this so-called ruthless terror leader who misled the entire world saying that he was fighting for the cause of the Tamils ultimately proved that he was such a selfish, timid leader who could not take any brave decision to safeguard his community even at the last minute and the ‘struggle’ he continued for decades was only for his survival but not for the benefit of the Tamil community. Ultimately, he had to accept that he was not a leader who can fight with the Sri Lankan Army though he believed in the fact that the international community would ensure his survival even at the last moment by keeping only his head out of water of the Nanthikadal lagoon for hours

This is a problem that is best left to SRI LANKAN tamils. They managed to get, without Prabhakaran, Tamil re-recognised as an official language, decades ago. Indian and other Tamils should stay out of it. Otherwise its like having all muslims support Osama.

I am a Tamil living in Sri Lanka. I know how LTTE destroyed the culture, children, our sisters & brothers claiming that they are our soul representative of ours.
I was kind of supporting them thinking that LTTE was really interested in standing for Tamil people. But instead they killed our own kind at the last moment. My aunt, uncle, cousin sister & two kids were shot dead on the 14th of May 2009 while trying to come to the Government controlled area. Only survivor was her husband who has got hammered by the LTTE soldiers & came with a broken arm. I saw him after 15 years & he now curse LTTE for killing his family.
When all the poor Tamil children were given a gun to their hands, Prabakaran’s children were given all comforts. Susei was keeping the gold jewelery of the Tamil people & given to his wife at the last moment to start a good life.
This is our mother land & up to date no Sinhalese person has told us it is not. We are living in Colombo for the past 22 years & we love our neighbors who are Muslim, Sinhalese & Tamils. We have no problems in here & all our Tamil people can live in this country in harmony.
