World: Britain Warns Its Nationals To Avoid Visiting North-East

British Commonwealth Office has warned British nationals to refrain from visiting North-East of Sri Lanka, as the situation there is not conducive for peaceful travelling. Political violence in those areas and the present political climate accompanied by the local government election meetings, demonstrations and rallies also contribute to the volatile situation, the Commonwealth Office has pointed out.

The British nationals have been advised, for their own safety,

World: DR1 in another propaganda stunt

Just a few weeks after the Kumarathurai Brothers, Mathi and Vanthanan went on Danish TV to accuse the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) of being involved in unlawful activities in Denmark, the same TV show has aired allegations against the Tamils Rehabilitation Organisation (TRO). The first show, aired on 12 March 2006 met with heavy criticism from around 11 000 Danish Tamils who complained to DR1 for airing baseless allegations made by two prominent agents of the Government of Sri Lanka (GoSL).
