Commentary: Open request to the Hindu

Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Hindu,

I've been voicing against your editorials for some time, and my friend and guide from Sarvodaya had been advising me that you are a liberal voice compared to many others.

It is a bit hard for me to digest- though I've to believe in what Mr. Natarajan from Sarvodaya, who has played an influential role in my upbringing. What I don't understand is, why are you hesitating in raising your voice for Tamils in Eelam.

Do you have something against them? When Children are killed- you embrace silence, and when Sri Lankans declare victory, then it's frontpage. The only request is - please pretend that they are tamils with poonool, even though they are not. Probably you will feel the 'thaan adaatium sadhai aadum' principle.

Hindu - the National (almost) daily of Tamil Nadu. Its editor was once a close friend of the National Leader of Tamil Eelam. Hindu Ram was very popular at that time. As what I heard , he was once supporting this freedom war as well. Then, after some time, he changed and his paper changed its attitudes towards Tamil Eelam freedom. Hindu started writing against the freedom war in Tamil Eelam. I am very sure, they will Never and Ever raise their voice for Tamils in Tamil Eelam, because they think we are " different" - they want Sinhalese not Tamils for some reasons.

It was a big mistake from the leader of the LTTE to think that he can just assinate PMs like that. The guy only knows thuggery and bully tactics, he came from the streets, and rose up the ranks of a street gang... It's very much like the movie "Scarface"... and you can't expect him to be anything other than a thug, because that's all what he knows! Yes, he calls himself the sun-god and lives the life of a god, while the innocent tamil race is suffering and dying under him, but the funny thing is that there are people out there that actually support him...
