'Undiyalaan' Rajasingham Jayadevan is a sour loser who is unable to handle defeat, sources from London claim. Labelled by the Tamil community as 'Undiyalaan' for his involvement with and apparent ownership of a Hindu temple, the self-proclaimed 'Dr' Jayadevan has been in recent months circulating a number of petitions against Tamil Councillors in the United Kingdom. Sources there say that contrary to claims by Jayadevan, many of the Tamil Councillors are elected from multi-ethnic boroughs where it is impossible for any individual to be elected with the votes of a single ethnic community. 'Undiyalaan' has claimed in his petitions that the Tamil Councillors came to power with the support of the Tamil community alone. Sources in London say that Jayadevan contested and lost in the Local Council Elections of 2002. Jayadevan campaigned under the Labour party banner in the borough of Barnet and polled less than half the number of votes polled by the Councillor elected with the least number of votes, records from the British Electoral Commission reveals. Meanwhile, the Tamil Councillors targeted in Jayadevan's vile campaign have been elected as Councillors in their respective boroughs for at least three elections running, according to Electoral Commission reports. A British-Tamil who spoke to us on condition of anonymity said that 'Jayadevan should accept defeat and get on with his life rather than launching spiteful campaigns against those who have been more successful than him'.
