Thol thirmavalavan, General Secretary of Vuduthalai Sruthaikal, demands the central government of India to impose an economic ban on Sri Lanka for its acts of genocide against Lankan Tamils.

He was speaking to the Tamil Nadu media at kadalure. He stated that the Lankan government was bombing North-East. There was an air strike on orphans .There was an attack on unfortunate refugees.

He explained that the North-East has to remain merged in compliance with the provisions of the Indo-Sri Lanka pact signed by Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and Lankan President Jayawardene. Now that has been de-merged.

He added that Indian government must exert pressure to remerge the North-East, save North-East Tamils from deaths due to starvation and to re-open the A9 highway.

Finally, he concluded that India must impose an economic ban against the Lankan government for the violation of International laws and human rights.
