People of Cuba are celebrating the 80th birth day of their President Castro. The birth day of Fidel Castro who has remained an inspiring world leader for a half a century was on August 13th.

xFollowing a surgery that he had to under go last July, Fidel Castro appealed to the people to celebrate his birth day along with the 50th anniversary of the Cuban revolution that falls on December 2nd.

Earlier he must have though that he could attend the celebration but due to his recuperation from the surgery, he has kept away from public functions on medical advice. But his message was read out at the inaugural ceremony of this function.

Prior to under going the surgery, he handed over the reins of his administration to his brother Raul Castro. Since then he has not appeared in any public function. Some world leaders who came to attend the conference of non-aligned countries were allowed to have an audience with him. Many world leaders and other social leaders have flown to Cuba to participate in this celebration.

Citing Castro’s non appearance at public functions, American rulers are spreading a rumor that Fidel Castro will never return to power. .

It is no doubt America is eagerly looking for the ouster of Castro from power but 100’s and 1000’s of people all over the world who have been influenced by the great leadership of Fidel Castro and who have admired how he has steered Cuba through pressures and challenges to establish a socialist government in his country pray for his recovery from his illness.
