Human rights violation and the economic crises have caused innumerable problems to the people of this country. PAFFREL has pointed that during the last two years and 6 months 656 persons have been killed, 800 have been have been unlawfully arrested and that 25 persons have disappeared.

Following such unhealthy trend there is a feeling of uncertainty among the people. People are trying to flee from the country.

Meanwhile, the people in the north under go unbearable sufferings on the one hand. They are the victims of the increasing prices of the essential commodities and the increasing cost of living.

On the other hand they are victims of acts of violence human rights violations. People complain that there has been a shortage of essential commodities in the north.

They also complain that there has been a price hike of these essential commodities. If the present situation continues they have to face deaths due to starvation.

Therefore all sections of the society must ensure that normalcy is restored in the north-east.
