The Dictator of Philippines F. E. Marcos, Dictator of Uganda Idi Amin, Dictator of Iraq Sadam Hussaein and The President of Sri Lanka Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksha?

Mr. Nadarajah Kuruparan, News Manager of Sooriyan FM Radio is reported missing (Now he is released). But while I was reading this news it came to my mind the three famous dictators in this world. According to these three dictators biography. Some of their criminal action and the way they killed innocent civilians looks same.

I remember the Philippines dictator Marcos hate the journalists very much the main reason he know the journalists are more danger than a soldier. They are the only people in this world can give the true news to the world. But not all of them. When he was in power he orders his military intelligence to kill a female reporter. Because she writes the true news. Later they found her dead body in a garbage dumping area. He used his military intelligence to kill those who he hates. The human rights violation is high in the Philippines and the journalists are more scared to write the truth during his period.

Same as Marcos in the Philippines, Uganda dictator did the same thing. He killed the priest and judge, many raps and so many killings during his time include his military. According to his biography he hates the journalist very badly. He and his military violated the human rights. The horrible news is he eats human flesh. But 1979 he escape from Uganda and spend his life time in Saudi Arabia and died 3 years ago.

Saddam Hussaien in Iraq killed 182,000 Kurds people, not only that. If any journalist write anything against to him. The next day he will disappear. Totally the people who speak the freedom or against to him he is not happy. These three dictators violated the human rights and they violated the press freedom. It means they are against to the truth.

Now according to our news media. The news says. “Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse, who invited the top leadership of the ABC Management, during the recent Maavilaru military offensive, passed a warning to the net work and asked to censor details from the Tigers and not give equal coverage to LTTE statements with the statements issued by the military officials of the Governments in ABC’s broadcasts.� What will happen if the Tamil Journalist tells the honest truth to the world in stead of giving wrong news? It means if you give the right news you will disappear or killed. It means the Tamil Journalist life is in danger. If he is a real honest President of SL, if he is a true Buddhist and also respect the human rights. He should not warn the news media. It’s our rights. In other way, they are violating our rights. December 2005 Mr. Rajapaksah was accused by a famous Sri Lankan news media editor saying he was threatened by Mr.Rajapaksah. I believe most of us remember that news. Is he running the government or some one runs the government and where is power?

Those three dictators did the same thing. They warned the journalist and force them to write what they say. If they fail to follow the warning they will disappear or kidnapped. Since Mr. Rajapasksha came to power, many Tamil Political leaders killed, one more Tamil politician was kidnapped, many Tamil Journalist killed, and also the aid workers. Those who speak behalf of Tamils freedom struggle or their pain, they will disappear or killed. It could be a journalist or politician or a priests. It doesn’t matter who they are. Allaippiddy Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Jim Brown and his aide missing. He is the key witness of the murder in church bombing and they don’t won’t him to be alive. Mr. Rajapaksha doesn’t know this? The international community asked him to make an inquire about the church bombing. I am sure the military intelligence and Mr. Rajapaksha knew about this. Same as in 1990 a Jesuit priest from U.S.A., Rev. Fr. Herbiet and his aide disappeared in the same manner while traveling in a motorbike in Eravur area in Batatticaloa district and later found killed by the Army and Muslim Home Guards.

Mr. Rajapaksha is the Chief Commander of Army, Navy & Air Force. The question is last 8 months its happening since he came to power. What is the different between Mr. Rajapaksha and those 3 dictators? Now the Colombo news says Mr. Rajapaksha and his foreign Minister in London today and before he leaves, he orders the IGP to take all necessary action to release Nadarajah Kuruparan, Sooriyan FM Radio. Mr. Rajapaksha and his police department, and their intelligence cannot find an answer for all the killings and kidnapping and how he is going to do this?

Who knows he is in London to meet the Royal Navy Commander again to get advice how to protect the Trincomalee harbor or maybe he might request the British Government to send another new Navel commander to give more training to Sri Lanka Navy. But what ever he does. He is the President of SL and he is the one have to answer for all. And the right time will come and we have to take him to International Criminal court and he cannot say it’s happening behind his back.

Warning is a form of threatening. & also favoritism is a form of corruption But the US, UK, India, and UN will say stop fighting and talk. First they should know what is really happening in Sri Lanka and let them point their finger against to GOSL and warn him. Not LTTE. If not Sri Lanka is another Iraq or Vietnam.
