The displaced people of Vaharai face many problems. They must be resolved early to ensure normalcy.

A large number of people have been displaced from Vaharai since last December. They are accommodated in more than 40 refugee camps in Batticola. There are efforts to resettle them without their consent.

The affected children are unable to continue their studies. Many children have lost their parents. Some are disabled.

Both parties ascertain that their activities are to safeguard the people. But, it is the innocent civilians who are affected. How long will it take to resettle them?

It is encouraging that there are talks of resettling them in Vaharai. Their needs must be met.

Ramakrishna mission has pointed the sufferings of the displaced people in the refugee camps and stressed the need to provide assistance to them.

The tragedy of internally displaced people must not continue. They are waiting with great hope.
