community that the country could not have been plunged in the present
situation if the CFA had been implemented properly.

of the implementation of the CFA in the right sprit, there has been
loss of life human tragedies, human suffering and human rights
violations in the country. Reports say that 154,000 people have been
displaced from Batticaloa.
The plight of the Batticaloa refugees has been raised at the UN. John
Homes, Deputy Secretary General for UN Human Affairs, expressed grieve
over the displacement of 1000’s of people from Batticaloa.

appealed to the international community to extend humanitarian
assistance to the Batticaloa refugees.
