Sri Lanka Police on Sunday morning recovered bodies of five males from a canal in Pinwatte area, Panadura, police said. Police officials said they recovered the bodies from the Golukotuwawatte canal, in Pinwatte area in Panadura this morning on receiving information from the public.

They said that three of them were identified as Sinhalese from the same area and the killings are believed to be related to underworld clash and not related to any terrorist activities.

Panadura Police have launched investigations in this connection.
