UNP Spokesman, Parliamentarian Gayantha Karunatilleke told that at one instance the JVP is seen supporting the government in Parliament and voting with it and at the very next instance one can see the JVPers carrying placards and demonstrating against the government and shouting anti-government, anti-Rajapaksa slogans.
“It is time for the JVP to get its act together. It has to decide whether it is going anti-government or pro-government. The JVP’s wavering attitude is confusing everyone, including the public,” Karunatilleke noted.
He claimed that this kind of attitude from a leading political party was very irresponsible. “The JVP is acting without a backbone, he added.
