Sri Lanka: Reputed bodies fall foul of disclosure rules

Among some of the more explosive revelations is that the Mahapola Higher Education Scholarship Trust Fund - originally set up to facilitate the education of underprivileged students - had sustained losses of Rs 1,200 million during the last three years due to a deal entered into with a foreign collaboration called ‘G-Tech’. A leading political commentator on anonymity said,while a considerable ratio of the singala poor families from some southern parts in Srilanka ,suffering to win even their daily needs, most of the singala parliamentarians and government institution officials , flourish and enjoy with much pecuniary from corruption and bribery is a sad truth , further its crucial the ruling Rajapakse regimes brothers are the first case in point for corruptions in the country.
