Sri Lanka: Sri Lankan Army chief lashes out at Foreign Minister

Sarath Fonseka, the man in charge of the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) has lashed out the country's Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama for declaring that "there's no plan for a major offensive in the north," during a fund raising ceremony in Malaysia.

The Army Chief says that "military matters should be left to the soldiers".

"Politicians should get on with politics," he was quoted by a Sinhala newspaper.

Earlier in the year, Defence Secretary Gothabaya Rajapaksa vowed to destroy all Tamil military assets across the island including the north.

Bogollagama made his comments at a ceremony to convince Asian nations including Japan, China, Malaysia and Singapore to provide aid donations to Sri Lanka as the island continues to be rattled by economic mismanagement.

No country will want to give donations to waste it on killing people. After obtaining the funds, whatever happens is entirely a different story as the money will be used to annihilate the Tamil population and destroy their properties and livelihood. But the Army Chief Fonseka without realizing this diplomacy blasted with his outburst at the Foreign minister saying that "military matters should be left to the soldiers". This is the difference between the Politicians and the army personnel in Sri Lanka. Both share the same objective annihilating the Tamil population - one uses hoodwinking tactics and the other go on a killing spree.

Now the donor countries should realize the hidden agenda of the governmentÃ¢â?¬â?¢s move when Sri Lanka asks for aid. Giving aid donations will also tantamount to supporting state terror and ethnic cleansing of the Tamil population in the North and East of Sri Lanka.

Bogollagama wentto the donor meeting with the intent that he could hoodwink the leaders of the donor nations by the stupid and crafty remark that the GOSL has no idea of taking the war to the North.
Thereby trying to get round the donors for grants and aid and then siphoning it out to the war against the innocent Tamils.

What is going on now. This very minute as we write. Continuous barrage of bombs,murder and rape.

Sarath Fonseka the general of the army is on another treacherous course of murder and mayhem.Little realising that the death and destruction of the Tamils will stain his hands foever.
He blatantly cried out and corrected Bogollagama - saying the 'soldiers ' must decide !!!.What a joke.?
Since when does the soldier decide the cousrse of war?He is power hungry and wants a name that during his term this war will end and the Tamils will be destroyed.

Pergaps he is talking of his own dastardly intent and action.

Or is Gotabaya Rajapakse and Sarath Fonseka on one side of the fence with Mahinda Rajapakse and Bogollagama on the other side.
Looks as though ther is a 'coup' being hatched by the General and Gota.!
It will be interesting to see what is going on behind closed doors i the Presidents chamber regarding this serious outbursts of Sarth Fonseka. It has certainly spoilt chances of the governments intent by denying to the world that the government is taking the war to the Noth.

Bogollogama and the entire entourage including the Army and GOSL are in a very desperate situation.The government has been lying themselves out of every incident where the Tamils have been concerned.
