thumb_kumaratungaFormer President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga alleged that the party SLFP is now on the wrong path because of wrong steps of its incumbent chairman Mahinda Rajapakse. She said the post of party chairman was stolen from her but she was eager attend and take salute at the party convention.

Giving an interview to a private television channel, she said after she was stripped off the party’s chairman post, her lawyer advised her to take legal action but she refrained from doing that for the sake of party’s image and reputation.

“Even till the last moment I was willing to attend the convention but later changed the decision when I came to know that JRP Suriyapperuma will deliver the main lecture. He was the one who wanted to plant Manioc by removing Bandaranaike Memorial”, the former president said.
