Sri Lanka: Rajapakse CWC rift deepens

In recent times due to President Mahinda Rajapakse’s refusal to offer an apology on behalf of his advisor cum brother, Basil Rajapakse as demanded by the CWC. Reports quoting the Ceylon Workers Congress say, that the party has still not decided whether it would accept portfolios in the government as the differences between the government and the CWC have not been resolved. “We left with a cause and the government knows it well. We can’t just reaccept portfolios and behave as if nothing has taken place” said the CWC sources.
