Minister Dr. Keheliya Rambukawella, who is also Government Spokesman for Defence and National Security, said Sri Lankan Navy (SLN) will take action against Tamil Nadu politician P. Nedumaran if he tries to cross the Palk Straight illegally to show his solidarity with the Tamil Tigers.
“The law will take its own course in dealing those trying to enter into the territorial waters of Sri Lanka”, said while talking to media on the threat given by P. Nedumaran as he is apparently determined to cross the Palk Straits illegally by boat on September 12 and enter Jaffna to distribute parrippu (lentils) and other food and medicinal items to the people in the peninsula.
Sri Lanka has already lodged a protest with the Indian government against Nedumaran’s threat. But Indian government is yet to take any step to deter Nedumaran from doing that.
