Sri Lanka: Civilian shot and injured and a youth arrested in Batticaloa |

Meanwhile, a Tamil youth was arrested by the Sri Lankan Special Task Force in Amparai on Tuesday. According to information unidentified gunmen shot and seriously injured a Tamil civilian as he was riding a bicycle in Kokkaddichcholai in the recently occupied Paduvankarai area in Batticaloa.
The incident took place on Tuesday around 3.30 pm. The injured person was identified as Nallathamby Sivanathan age 33 from Vavunatheevu.He was admitted to the Batticaloa teaching hospital for treatment.
