Village officials warned not to harass public in Jaffna |

 Special Military Identity Cards, according to reports. The Village Officers are exerting undue pressure on the public and students to obtain the special identity card on the orders of the Sri Lankan military.
The Divisional Magistrate summoned the Village Officers of Vadamaraadchi for an inquiry on Wednesday in Point Pedro court, following complaints from the public regarding the various charges incurred in getting copies of photos and documents, report said.
The aim of the government officials should be to made the life normal for the public and not to harass them with unnecessary expenses and difficulties the judge told the Village Officers.
