Police recovered the bodies of a couple on Monday in Koappaay, 9 km northeast of Jaffna city. After receiving information from neighbours of the victims, police went to the spot and recovered their bodies from a nearby well. The couple was identified as Sivalingam Selvarasa, 54 and his wife Ranjithamalar Selvarasa, 49.
Without getting any sound at the couple’s house for long time suspicion grew in the minds of neighbours and they informed the police. The police handed the bodies over to Jaffna Teaching Hospital for post mortem examination.
Jaffna District Magistrat, R. T. Vignaarajah directed the police to conduct investigation and submit report.
