Four Kfir jets of Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) on Tuesday morning bombed Vattakkachchi area in Kilinochchi district. Sources in Kilinochchi said the first attack was made at 8.25 a.m. and the second one at 8.55 a.m., causing panic among people, particularly students and teachers in schools who ran helter-skelter for safer places.

Staff, patients in outpatient department and those admitted in Kilinochchi hospital also ran away from the hospital premises fearing aerial attacks on the hospital area.

It could not be known whether there was any casualty in two bomb attacks. A Kfir jet was seen hovering in the air when other jets bombed the area.
