Sri Lanka: Auto-driver driver shot dead in Pont Pedro

Two unidentified gunmen shot dead a three-wheeler driver near the Veeramakali Amman temple at Ladsumanan Thottam inside a highly protected area in Point Pedro, Friday morning.
The victim, Saundaranayagam Saththiyakanthan, 33, originally from Trincomalee was married to a teacher in Point Pedro.
Point Pedro police recovered his body around noon and handed it over to
Manthikai Government hospital for postmortem examinations.
Point Pedro is located at the northeastern corner of the peninsula, 30 km northeast of Jaffna town.
