Sri Lanka: Resettle 17,000 displaced people from Moothoor east - All Party Representatives of the east

Representatives of all parties in the east have appealed to President Rajapakse through a memorandum to resettle the 17,000 displaced people from Moothoor east. The memorandum states that the displaced people live in different parts of the country.
The memorandum states that 17,000 people comprising 5000 families were displaced from 24 Tamil and Muslim villages following the war. Fishing, agriculture and cattle rearing have been crippled in these areas.
