Dr.Krishnasamy announced this when he was speaking to reporters in Chennai on Wednesday. The Eelam Tamils struggle, which has been going on for more than 30 years, has now come to a crucial stage, he said. The successive Sri Lankan governments have a habit of negotiating with the Tamils and then waging war against them, he further said, adding that in recent days the situation in Sri Lanka is getting worse with 10 to 15 Tamil youths dying daily.
It is not proper for the central and state government’s to remain silent in this situation, he said. They should redeem the Eelam Tamil’s right to self determination and should not blockade the transfer of food and medicine to the Tamils, he stated. A rally will be held, reiterating all these demands on the 6th of October, he announced adding that the rally will start at the Monro statue and at the end of it a memorandum will be submitted to the Tamil Nadu chief minister. The rally will be inaugurated by Tamil National movement leader Mr. Pala Nedumaran.
