Sri Lanka: Foreign high-level delegation to visit Jaffna peninsula

A high-level delegation from Norway, Switzerland, Canada and the U.K. are scheduled to Jaffna peninsula to witness the ground situation in the north of the peninsula. The delegation officials will meet the Jaffna government agent along with community and religious leaders during their stay in the peninsula.
The delegation is scheduled to arrive in Jaffna today (Thursday) being accompanied by Sri Lankan army top officials.
The officials from U.S. Aids, Swedish Development Agency, Swiss Development Agency and World Bank have been included in the delegation.
The delegation will see the ground situation as well as the progress of the development works carried out by international development agencies in the peninsula.
