Shocking details are emerging how Sri Lankan government working frantically to put pressure on the UN Sri Lankan team to toe their line and stage manage Louise Arbour, High Commissioner for Human Rights when she is in Sri Lanka from October 10th to October 13th.
The Civil monitoring community leader Mano Ganeshan in Colombo says, he reliably learned that Madam Louise Arbour will not be allowed to meet the affected (rights abuses such as enforced abductions, disappearances and unlawful killings) people or their relatives while she is in Sri Lanka. She will not be allowed to meet random press people or any groups.
He said as he suspected Sri Lanka once again readying to stage manage Madam Louise Arbour with a few hand picked pacified abused people and witness to showcase their acts.
A rights group said the UN must demand the Sri Lankan government to allow you to find nothing but the truth by meeting affected people, hearing them directly and visiting affected area personally including the rebels control area to stop the horrendous rights abuses which are state assisted taking place in Sri Lanka for far too long against Tamil citizens and they are quandary.
It also urges Louise Arbour, High Commissioner for Human Rights to see and hear for herself the worsening rights situations from the affected people directly and take decisive action against the country to stop all form of human rights abuses against Tamils.
