Sri Lanka: Jaffna University lecture abducted and killed in Colombo

The 60 year old lecturer who went to Colombo from Jaffna, gone mission on Saturday from Wellawaththa. Mahinan was a senior and well respected Maths lecturer at the Jaffna University. He went to Colombo recently and gone missing from Wellawaththa since Saturday. Mahinan is a resident of Kokuvil in Jaffna. His dead body was recovered from the same area on Monday. The deceased lecturer’s body is kept at the Wellawaththa hospital. The educational societies have strongly condemned the killing of the lecturer.
