Sri Lanka's ousted President Chandrika Kumaratunga has filed a petition at the country's courts demanding that she be allowed to continue to enjoy the privileges of bullet-proof vehicles, security guards and luxury homes at the expense of the tax payers.
In her appeal to the courts Chandrika pointed out that Basil Rajapakse, a meager Member of Parliament in a government of 108 Ministers is enjoying the privileges of 117 security guards including 72 officers, and a fleet of 14 vehicles including three BMW 7series bullet-proof vehicles.
Sri Lanka's current President Mahinda Rajapaksa slashed Chandrika's privileges after she left him off her daughter's wedding party guest list claiming that the current Presidnet is a 'low class bastard from Hambantota'.
