Sri Lanka: A full day curfew imposed by the Sri Lanka army in Vadamarachchi

Srilankan military head quarters in Palali ,has announced on Sunday ,via its local radio as well the media, that the whole Vadamarachchi area will be under 24 hour curfew ,the full Sunday, Jaffna sources said. The already existing regular night curfew which start from 7p.m to 4.30 in the early morning,. Will be customized, and the curfew will not be lifted at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, the announcement said.
As announced by the Srilankan military Jaffna hierarchy, the curfew in the Vadamaradchchi area was tightly implemented by the Srilankan forces, throughout Sunday, until it is lifted on Monday morning 4:30 a.m., according to the directive.
Vadamaraadchy area covered by the SLA checkpoints in Vallai, Mulli, Aayam and Vallipuram affected by the curfew and the civilians in the areas severely hampered due to this sudden announcement of the srilankan army.
As the SLA has warned residents to stay indoors on Sunday, and threatened that anyone seen outside their homes in public places will be arrested and prosecuted under Emergency Regulations.
According to Jaffna residents heavy military presence of the Srilankan forces were seen along the all high ways in the Vadamaradchchi areas ,and both sides of the main roads were come under severe observation, of the newly formed army check points facilitating to transport heavy military arsenal towards Vadamaraadchy East Forward Defence Lines (FDLs).,further during the Sunday curfew hours , many civilians houses were thoroughly checked by the Srilankan forces ,and confirmed sources revealed some civilians also arrested by them.
