Asian Human Rights Commission , issuing a statement on the arrest of a Tamil staff reporter of The Sunday Leader, Arthur Wamanan, by the Sri Lankan Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID), has said the higher officers in the Sri Lankan Police, ranging from the Inspector General of Police to the Assistant Superintendents, have shown a level of irresponsibility that no institution could tolerate.
