Sri Lanka: 2 PLOTE members and a paramilitary ally of the SL army were shot dead

Unidentified armed men shot dead Wednesday morning two members of Peoples Liberation Organization of Tamil Eelam (PLOTE) and wounded and a youth at Murkanoor area in Ellappamaruthangkulam, Vavuniya .Mean while a paramilitary member of Karuna group was also shot dead by unidentified gun men Monday night around 7: 35 p.m. at Navatkudah in Kaaththaankudi .

In the Vavuniya incident the killed persons were identified as Sithamparapillai Selvarasa, 49, and Kirupan Vettairasa, 40.

Premarasa Thayanithi, 19, is admitted to Vavuniya Public Hospital.

The motive of the killings is not known, local sources from Vavuniya said on Wednesday

Mean while two unidentified armed men riding a motorbike shot dead a paramilitary member of Karuna group with a pistol Monday night around 7: 35 p.m. at Navatkudah in Kaaththaankudi in Batticaloa district, civil sources said.

The victim was identified as Vettivel Suthakar, 38, a staff of Naavatkudaa Karuna office.
