Sri Lanka: TNA expresses shock, says his death will give birth to thousands of new Thamilchelvans

Tamil National Alliance (TNA) has expressed its deep shock at the killing of S. P. Thamilchelvan, LTTE’s political head and chief negotiator, in a government air strike today. Saluting Mr Thamilchelvan for his selfless sacrifice for the cause Tamil Eelam struggle the TNA said it joined the Tamil community in saluting him and the other LTTE officials killed in the same air strike by the Sri Lanka Air Force.
Recalling his services that he rendered throughout his life to Tamils, TNA in a media release said, “We salute his services to the Tamil people and selfless sacrifice for the Tamil Eelam struggle”.
“Although his death is destined to create thousands of new Thamilchelvans who will doubtless serve our freedom struggle with dedication  his death is destined to create thousands of new Thamilchelvans who will doubtless serve our freedom struggle with dedication, we shudder at the repercussions for peace of this act by the Sri Lanka government," said the TNA, Sri Lanka’s largest Tamil political party.
