Sri Lanka: Three days of mourning declared

Tamils around the world have declared three days of mourning following the death of Brig. SP Tamilselvan on Friday morning. The period of mourning from Saturday to Monday will be observed by Tamils around the world.
All cultural and entertainment events have been cancelled in the Tamil homeland. Tamil Diaspora communities have also taken the same step.
All events to have been held by the Tamil Diaspora have been cancelled. No Tamil films will be screened at Tamil cinemas in Europe, Canada or Australia.
Meanwhile, Tamil National Leader The Hon. Velupillai Pirapaharan paid his respects on Friday evening at the Kilinochchi home of the slain Brigadier.
