The LTTE’s political wing senior leader Seevaratnam Pulithevan on Saturday vowed to give a shock treatment to the Sri Lankan state soon. He was delivering farewell speech to five LTTE cadres who were buried on Saturday.

He said they are angry to hear that the Sri Lankan leaders danced at the President’s residence with liquor to celebrate the death of six LTTE members including Brig. Thamilselvan.

Pulithevan said the LTTE will teach Sri Lankan leaders a due lesson which will be a matter of deep shock for the all Sinhala people.

Recalling various aspects of Thamilselvan’s courageous role and his leadership’s charisma, he said Brig. Thamilselvan was very ordinary man by nature and behaviour who fought wars with the Indian and Sri Lankan armed forces with determination and commitment.

Referring to an incident took place at a remembrance of Col. Thileepan who died after 12-days of fast-unto-death protest in 1987 demanding Indian government to fulfill his demands, Pulithevan said during the remembrance event the LTTE and the Indian armed forces declared ceasefire to celebrate the event.

On the special day, Thamilselvan was walking along with other LTTE cadres. At one stage, the Indian armed soldiers intercepted them and told the LTTE men that they want to meet Dinesh because he is a challenger in the war against the LTTE. But the Indian soldiers did not know that it was Dinesh whom they were talking to.

Pulithevan said Thamilselvan was very capable leader with adequate knowledge about politics, diplomacy and militancy.

He said India committed blunder by arresting 12 LTTE commanders including Kumarappa and Pulendiran that resulted in their death. Consequently, the LTTE declared war and fought the Indian armed forces for almost three years.

Inflicting heavy casualties on Indian side, the LTTE won the war by driving out the Indian armed forces from Tamil Eelam.

One should remember that the LTTE won the war by defeating the world’s fourth largest army and fifth largest navy.

Thamilselvan took the messages of the LTTE leader when he travelled abroad, from east (Asia) to west (Europe) and south (Africa), where he met with the foreign diplomats and successfully narrated the ground realities in Eelam to them.

Because of his excellent presentation the foreign diplomats easily understood the just cause of Eelam.

Later Thamilselvan fought the enemies on three fronts- politically, diplomatically and militarily, Pulithevan said, adding,

“Tamil Eelam will be liberated from foreign occupation soon and the dreams of martyrs including that of Thamilselvan will be materialised”
