During the last three-day national mourning announced by the political division of the LTTE, the remains of Thamilchelvan were taken to the twelve sectors of the LTTE-administered Vanni in procession.

General people including members of Tamil Diaspora, foreign diplomats and human rights activists who are deeply shocked at the death of Thamilchelvan are expressing their heartfelt sorrow.
