Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse has asked to submit a comprehensive report on the inconvenience caused to the media during Wednesday's Budget presentation. The Presidential Secretariat said the President came to know by reading newspapers that inconvenience was caused to media personnel who went to cover the Budget speech in Parliament.
The President, who has received a memorandum addressed to him by the Photo Journalists Association of Sri Lanka in this regard, has directed DIG (Presidential Security Division) S.M. Wickramasinghe to investigate the matter and submit a report to him urgently.
