Sri Lanka: Karuna attacked in detention centre

Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan, alias Karuna has been attacked by a fellow inmate at the Oakington Reception Centre in Cambridge, north of London, according to reliable sources. Karuna has since been moved to a private room at the detention centre and is under 24-hour guard, according to same sources. Oakington holds men whose asylum claim in the United Kingdom is under the consideration of the authorities.

The centre is a not a prison, and therefore does not restrict individuals' daily activities, although people of same ethnic groups were often placed together.

Meanwhile, Tamil community organizations have urged the Tamil Diaspora not to violate the laws of the lands they are resident in.

Tamil community organizations have also requested the Diaspora to take necessary action to ensure that Karuna is tried at the international courts for crimes he had committed against the Tamil people.

tamils should execute karuna for what he did. hopefuly he gets tried at the international court and gets prosecuted.

Hmmm....I wonder how he got a diplomatic passport...? Without the help of a top government officials, it is hardly possible to get such a document. Now everyone can see that Government of Sri Lanka has been assisting/sheltering Karuna all along while lying to the international community! Karuna should be charged in UK court for Human Rights violation!!! If he is sent back, he will be enjoying the hospitality and security that the Sri Lankan government will provide.

It's very sad that a great hero has become a zero. There is no question about the amount of damage he did for our freedom struggle. You must ask questions why a person of his calibre had to go against LTTE, has the organisation made any mistake/s against him, we always presume LTTE is always right. Further , When Pottu Aman smelt a rat why was Karuna not spied during the talks-whoes mistake was that.

Now internatioanal world will fabricate things and end up incrimainating the charge against LTTE, so Tamils must make sure that he exposes the Shrilankan govt and not the other way around.

Don't show vengence , Tamils are renown for grattitude and forgiveness.-What is the difference between us and SL.
