The treatment of patients at the hospital in Nainaatheevu of northern isle is being severely hampered as the doctor who works full time has gone to Colombo on leave without leaving any other doctor. The patients alleged they are seriously anxious for not getting medical care in the isle.
They said under this circumstance they have to be taken to Jaffna hospital for treatment which is, in one hand, more expensive for them and troublesome on the other.
They demanded of the government to appoint a doctor in the hospital without any delay.
