The Sri Lankan police in Badulla on Sunday arrested 35 people during cordon and search on suspicion of having connection with terrorism. The police said of the arrested, warrants were issued against 17 people while the remaining 18 were detained as they failed to prove their identity. The police also said they have taken stern legal actions against 40 individuals who violated traffic rules.
