Two dead bodies were handed over to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital that were recovered from wells in Jaffna peninsula on Sunday. After completing the post-mortem, the hospital administration handed over the bodies to the relatives of the victims who were identified as Varapiragasam Antony (50) of Pandatharippu and Thiyagarasa Vigneswaran (56) of Ariyalai of Jaffna peninsula.

Their deaths are still a mystery to both police and relatives.

However, the locals said on condition of anonymity that they might have been pushed into the wells after they were invited nearby the wells.
