Main opposition UNP has supported government’s decision to proscribe Tamils Rehabilitation Organization (TRO). Addressing a press conference UNP frontliner Lakshman Kiriella on Wednesday said it had no objection to the banning of TRO in Sri Lanka.

He accused the government of failing to pursue the matter with commitment.

“The government took the decision to ban TRO after its one member confessed in USA that some funds were given to the LTTE by the organization”, he added.
