As part of our on going initiative to expose the pay-per-news industry being formed by freelance 'journalists' reporting under the Associated Press (AP), Agence France-Presse (AFP) and Reuters banners, today we expose AP's Ravi Nessman. Mr Nessman began his career reporting from Palestine and Israel where he put Arab oil money to good use. In 2005 he moved to Iraq, as most journalists who could find work elsewhere pulled out that country.
Finally in 2007, using the 'years experience' gained in Iraq he moved to another place from where all established journalists were pulling out.
Now reporting from Sri Lanka, Ravi Nessan is churning out, what our investigation has found, some interesting pay-per-news items on behalf of the Sri Lankan government.
