Sri Lanka: Bomb found near TNA MP’s residence in Colombo

A bomb was recovered from in front of residence of Tamil National Alliance (TNA) Jaffna district parliamentarian, MK Shivagilingam, in Colombo around 8.45 a.m. on Monday, according to website of Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Defence. A news was posted in the website that mentioned police and air force bomb disposal team acting on civilian information have found a parcel bomb at Jawattha, Colombo 05 on Monday morning.
The bomb has been found inside an unattended parcel detected near a telephone post opposite the house of TNA Jaffna District Parliamentarian MK Shivagilingam.
Later bomb was defused by Air Force bomb disposal unit at around 9:15 a.m. Cinnmon Garden Police has started an investigation in this connection.
