Sri Lanka: TNA MPs in Oslo accuse IC of not being neutral in condemning attack on civilian targets

Two parliamentarians of Tamil National Alliance (TNA) in Oslo on Friday accused international community of not being neutral in condemning incidents of attacks on civilians in Sri Lanka. Batticaloa district parliamentarian S. Jeyanandamoorthy and K. Sivanesan of Jaffna district had a meeting with the Norwegian Special Envoy Jon Hanssen-Bauer.

After the meeting, the MPs told media that the international community very shortly condemned the recent attacks on civilian targets in the South of Sri Lanka whereas there was no condemnation by the IC after the killing of Rev. Fr. Nicholaspillai Pakiyaranjith, Mannaar Coordinator of an International NGO, in a Claymore attack in Vanni by the Sri Lankan DPU team.

“Why did the IC fail to condemn the indiscriminate air-attacks on civilian targets in Vanni?," the posed a question.

"The IC condemned the attack in Nugegoda on November 28. If there was no such attack, would the IC have condemned the Claymore attack on school-girls in Vanni that took place on the previous day?," Mr. Jeyanandamoorthy asked.

During their meeting with the Norwegian Special Envoy at the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the TNA parliamentarians said that they (parliament members of TNA) are gagged in Sri Lankan parliament.

Mr. K. Sivanesan told newsmen that they are watched in Sri Lankan parliament as if they represent people of another country.

IC has not been considering that Tamils are Human Beings. IC listens only who are Majoritarion in this Planet. They do not listen or look after the Minorities. In their view, Democracy means Majority, TNA MPs were elected democratically but they came from Minority community, so they are not going to listen them. GoSL has been conducting cruel war against the Tamils in their home land and huge ugly Propaganda war against the Tamil Diaspora.

IC is always with blind eye. When LTTE liberate our home land they will come to Tamil Ealam one by one. They will invite our National Leader to their countries and respect with military salutes and red carpets.
