Sri Lanka: Tamil youth reported missing in Colombo

A young construction worker from Jaffna working at the site of
Colombo Mahavidyalaya Mawathe has not returned home after leaving his
workplace for lunch Friday, the relatives of the youth complained to
Deputy Minister Rathakrishnan, sources in Colombo said.
Markandu Suman, 25, native of Neerveali, Jaffna, and an old boy of
Colombo Ka’napathi Mahaviththiyaalayam, has been staying and working in
the construction site in Colombo Mahavidyalaya Mawathe since last year.
He had gone to his native village Neerveali in 2004 and had returned to Colombo in early 2007.
He has been working at the Colmbo worksite since then.
Deputy
Minister Rathakrishnan has notified the details of the missing youth to
all police stations in Colombo, according to sources.
