Rajasingham Jeyadevan, popularly known as ‘Undiyalaan’ often boasts on a paramilitary ran radio station that he could counter any ones’ claims about his role in the theft of over £300, 000 from a Hindu temple in north-west London.
Undiyalaan also embarked on vile spree of negative propaganda stunts accusing several news websites of being controlled by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) and prominent Tamil journalists of being members of the LTTE.
Mr Nadaraja Sethurupan, a bi-lingual journalist from Oslo, Norway, was one of the major victims of Undiyalaan’s vile campaign of terror against free media.
Asiatribune, an established Sinhala nationalist website spread Undiyalaan’s propaganda on every occasion without fail.
Subsequently Mr Sethurupan had written letters to Asiatribune countering allegations made against him, and explaining his role as a journalist in the ‘Jeyadevan temple money affair’.
A letter published by the said website on 25 March, along with another letter published a week prior, claim that Undiyalaan has a personal vendetta against the journalist because he was at the forefront of exposing mismanagement of funds at the said temple.
Mr Sethurupan also said that he only published his articles in the best interest of the Tamil people living in Europe, and asked if Jeyadevan would spare a few minutes to answer some simple and straight forward questions, which may clear Jeyadevan’s name in the Tamil community.
Despite the fact that Mr Sethurupan was willing to debate the issue on a Sinhala nationalist forum, Undiyalaan has remained silent, conforming the fact that he did in fact play a major role in the theft of over £300 000 at the said Hindu temple.
