On Saturday morning, thousands of protesting devotees of a Hindu temple in North-West London demanded answers from “temple thief Undiyalaan” Rajasingham Jayadevan. They accused Jayadevan of stealing millions of pounds from the temple to buy several homes for his family, cars for his lovers, alcohol and other goods for his “good-for-nothing” son and to fund the local labour party office.

Devotees put forward the following demands to “Undiyalaan”:

What was the purpose of starting this temple eight years ago? How much money was deposited by Undiyalaan Jeyadevan?

Now that Company House has confirmed that the temple is a Limited Company, would the accounts be published to the Hindu devotees or to the H.M. Inspector of Taxes?

We understand that all four directors of this Limited Company “Temple” are family members of Undiyaalan Jeyadevan. In this case, has the temple been converted into a family business?

An inquiry held by the Charity commission in the year 2002 deemed that the temple could not be awarded charity status as it had made donations to British Political Parties. We would like to know the names of the political parties which benefited from Undiyal funds and the amounts involved. Were the temple devotees informed of these transactions?

We wish to know the account details of all temple funds including those collected by Undiyal and the reasons for not disclosing them before.

Undiyaalan Jeyadevan has sent substantial funds to his close friend Ramaraj (better known as Musthapha) the TBC radio director who is currently serving a lengthy prison sentence in Switzerland on charges of drugs trafficking, credit card fraud, and being a member of the paramilitary Karuna group. We the devotees demand to know the reasons for such contributions and the amounts involved.
