Iran's foreign minister said on Thursday that his country will continue its nuclear activities. Manouchehr Mottaki was speaking at a joint news conference with his Pakistani counterpart, Khursheed Kasuri, who is on the second day of an official visit to Iran. "We will continue our legal nuclear activities based on our rights announced in the NPT (Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty) and within the framework of the International Atomic Energy Agency," Mottaki said. Mottaki said the Iraq Study Group report, which suggests a future strategy for Iraq showed "not only a failure to the policies of America, it also shows the failure of the policies of England." "They should (both) make decisions for coming out of the current situation," he said. Mottaki comments came the day after British Prime Minister Tony Blair called for an alliance of Muslim countries against Tehran. Blair had said that the chief foe in the region was the government of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, accusing it of "openly supporting terrorism in Iraq".
