Absolutely you are right. He builds the road for our freedom and we walk on that road and fight for our freedom. And we reach the Goal. Rest of the leaders is there to guide us sure we believe. But still we want our leader to be alive until we see our Tamil Eelam because we are fighting with evil powers. - Dust to Dust

Any direct talks with Prabhakaran are out of the question and MR knows it. The insistence on this is simply to avoid being compelled by the international community to negotiate.

However, there seems to be a misconception by everyone that if Prabhkaran is out of the picture the war is over or can be negotiated so that the tamils water down their demands. That is a serious misconception because the fighters on the ground are more fanatical than the the Tiger leadership and secondly because Prabhakaran is aware that he will not last forever and the fight must go on. Tamilchelvan being the political head and the public face and Soosai, Pottu Aman etc as the military leadership. This war will go on so long as the tamil people both inside and outside Sri Lanka beleive in Tamil Eelam. Prabhakaran is a result of the peoples aspirations he is not the cause of those aspirations. - International Observer
